Evangeline was born and grew up in South Africa. She moved to Britain as an adult, lived for a time in the Middle East, and now based in France. Evangeline has a degree in English Literature from the University of London. Her family were all voracious readers – you could say books were a family passion. In 2006 Evangeline was fortunate to win the Swift Society Poetry Prize.
